The electronic steering damper used on the CBR1000RR also makes its presence felt on the 2007 CBR600RR. In its latest guise however the HESD unit is secreted away underneath the steering head.

An impressive new dash also makes its debut in 2007. A large conventional tachometer takes pride of place in the centre of the unit and is flanked by two LCD units that provide speed, fuel, odometer, tripmeter and clock functions.

Rider comfort levels have come in for a little attention with the bars 10mm higher than the previous model while the bar to seat measurement is unchanged. The rear of the tank is significantly narrower and smoother in profile than before to aid both comfort and riding dynamics. Other small changes of note include new smoked indicator lenses and the tail light is now situated underneath the muffler.
