Whoever's in charge is incompetent, and if someone doesn't do something about the whole situation soon, we're all completely fucked.  I'm not talking about John Howard's little bailiwick - we all know he's got no real power and unless there's a cricket reference, he's not really interested.

The Queen's a lovely lady with exemplary manners, but, unless we're talking scandal or millinery, no-one's interested in what she's got to say.  Even Kofi Annan, who seems to have his heart in the right place, although that could just be the machinations of his spin doctors, really doesn't hold the reins.  I'm talking much higher here.  Probably celestial.

We all routinely shake our heads at the futile stupidity of wars, fashion and most legislation, but no-one does anything.   I'm not particularly spiritual, unless you're talking about the melodious scrape of a footpeg around a challenging corner, then I get all misty-eyed, but if there is a God, S/He's lost it.  This is the incident that finally convinced me to take action.

A rider (no names, he and all his mates know who he is) was doing the speed limit on a suburban road.  Suddenly he was confronted by a van, under full brakes, skidding totally out of control on his side of the road.  He had nowhere to go, so there was a collision.  The rider was very, very lucky, he's sore and sorry for himself, but not bent or broken.  His Blackbird is a different story. He's in the market for a new bike.  It seems the van driver had not noticed the ute and trailer in front braking for a corner.
And this happens all too bloody often.

What the fuck's going on?

What kind of a leader lets this kind of bullshit bad karma happen?  So, obviously, it's time to do something.  I'd like to lead the coup, but I'm going to need a lot of help.
