British SuperBike 2000 - Oulton Park - Qualifying

Neil Hodgson was the quickest rider today, firing his Ducati around the 2.7-mile Cheshire circuit almost a second faster than his own lap record. Steve Hislop, Chris Walker and James Haydon complete the front row of the grid.

Emmett was fastest during yesterday’s wet practice session but the Surrey rider has since experienced set-up problems with his kitted Harris Honda VTR1000 SP-1.

"We were making some progress this morning," said Emmett, "and I was expecting to go faster than the four tenths I managed to pick up in the second session. The wind was much stronger this afternoon and the session was interrupted a couple of times which didn’t help things."
