Locatelli tried to make a break on the first lap but Ui, Cecchinello and Azuma go with him.

By lap 3 Locatelli had a 1.5 second lead.

Azuma took 3rd on lap 4 and started pressuring Ui for 2nd. 

Locatelli is setting fastest laps every time around so the race now is for 2nd with Azuma holding that position so far from Ui and Cecchinello.

Lap 6 and Ui takes Azuma for 2nd.

Lap 9 - Locatelli has a 8.5sec lead and recorded 5 consecutive fastest laps.

Lap 10 - Cecchinello takes 3rd and sets out after Ui.  Locatelli is blitzing this race, a second faster than the rest of the field on every lap.  Alzamora back to 4th.

Alzamora back into 3rd, Ui slides off into the dirt along with his championship chances.

Sanna into 4th and working hard to close on Cecchinello.  4 laps to run - Locatelli, Alzamora, Cecchinello, Sanna.

Sanna up to 3rd.

Locatelli wins by nearly 14 seconds and with it takes the 2000 125 GP title.
