Moodie and Honda go separate ways

Honda and Jim Moodie have mutually agreed to terminate the rider's 2000 contract. Moodie will not start in the Production or Senior Isle of Man TTs today following the decision.

The Scottish rider will no longer race for the Castrol Honda British Supersport championship team.

"The TT did not go as well as we had planned for Jim and it's been decided to go our separate ways," said Honda's racing manager Bob McMillan.

He added: "It's a shame it didn't work out with Jim. I really thought we were looking good for the TT with Jim in our line-up but we've had a few problems with machinery here and one thing has led to another."
