With victory in the 1999 championship, Fogarty took his personal total to eight world titles. He has four World Superbike titles (’94, ’95, ’98 and ’99 – all for Ducati), he has won two World TT-F1 titles (’88 and ’89), one World Endurance title (’92) and he also won the FIM Formula 1 World Cup in ’90.

During the 1999 season, he notched up his 200^th Superbike race and stood on the top of the winners’ podium 11 times, taking his Superbike victory tally to 59, 55 of which were for Ducati.

Carl Fogarty was born on 1 July 1966 in Blackburn, Lancashire (England). He is married to Michaela and they have two children, Danielle and Claudia.
