Paolo Casoli was Supersport
World Champion in 1997 with a Ducati 748. A crash during a test session strongly
conditioned his result in last seasons Supersport championship, in which the Italian
rider finished in 14th position.
Casoli however managed to win all the rounds of the Italian Superbike Championship in which he took part with a Ducati Corse laboratory 996, taking the title of 1999 Italian champion. Paolo Casoli was born on 18 August 1965 at Castelnuovo ne Monti (Reggio Emilia). He is married to Catia and they have one child, Federico. Ruben Xaus Ruben was born in Barcelona on the 18th of February 1978 and commenced his career in the Criterium 80cc category in 1993. From there he went on to compete in both the German Superbike Championship and the World SuperSport Championship. In 1999 he finished 5th in the World SuperSport Championship, winning the Misano round and finished second at three other rounds. A great achievement at this very early stage of his career. He lives in Barcelona and mucks about on MX bikes and jet-skis. He is also in to snowboarding. Ruben is 1.83 metres tall and weighs 75 kilos. |
