|
Go back and read about race 1 Edwards gets off the line first but Bayliss holds 1st position in to turn 1, Haga through on Edwards for 2nd, Corser in 4th. Haga immediately attacking Bayliss, Haga through in Rainey curve, Bostrom through on Corser for 4th and hounding Edwards. Bostrom under Edwards in to the Corkscrew, he has got a better start in this race will be on Bayliss' case in the very near future. Bostrom through on Bayliss on the entry to the Corkscrew and up in to 2nd. The American is taking advantage of some home track knowledge through the corkscrew he does it better than anyone. Does he have the speed to catch Haga? Bostrom has cleared out from Bayliss to set the fastest lap on the 4th time around and is quickly closing on Haga. Bostrom's Ducati has so much speed, he takes Haga in an awesome burst of power, the American's bike must be the most powerful in the field. Bostrom, Haga, Edwards, Bayliss, Corser. Corser and then Chili through on Bayliss, the Australian rider must surely have a problem. Borja is on the deck. Haga looks to have picked up the paca again and will be attacking Bostrom for the lead soon. Edwards 3rd, Corser 4th and closing on the leaders. Corser under Edwards and on a charge. Haga getting a little ragged now and that has let Bostrom get away a little and Corser get closer to this tail. Haga has huge moment which let Corser through and up in to 2nd even though he had to take evasive action from Haga's moment. Corser through to the lead a couple of laps later, Edwards through on Haga for 3rd. Lap 17 - Corser, Bostrom, Edwards, Haga, Yanagawa, Chili, Bayliss, Slight. 10 laps to run and Corser looks to have the speed to take an easy win from here, he is pulling out over half a second a lap on the rest of the field with 10 laps to go. Something quite large looked to fall off Corser's Aprilia from somewhere down near the lower left fairing, no idea what it was as yet but lets hope it does not halt Troy's progress away from his followers. 5 laps to run and Corser still looks to be very strong so whatever he is missing, it is not slowing him down. Edwards is catching Bostrom and Haga is coming with him. Edwards and Haga will be on Bostrom before this race is over, Haga through on Edwards with 2 laps to go. Corser has disappeared off in to the distance to the tune of nearly 8 seconds and Haga is catching Bostrom. Final lap - Haga is about 8 bike lengths behind Bostrom as they come up on backmarkers. Haga now has the gap down to around 5 bike lengths, beautiful stand up wheelie from Corser to celebrate the win and Haga takes Bostrom after the American ran wide in the final corner. |
