Yoshimura Suzuki’s Aaron Yates earned the pole for Sunday’s Pro Honda Oils 600 SuperSport season finale. Yates established a class track record when he pushed his factory Suzuki GSXR600 to a lap time of 1:28.246 at 92.197 mph. It is the second 600 pole of the year for Yates, who also took the position at Sears Point in May. Starting alongside Yates on the front row will be series leader Eric Bostrom, Aussie Anthony Gobert and his Yamaha team-mate Tommy Hayden.
