Sep 20 - News - Anthony Gobert has re-signed with Yamaha US for 2002 after also fielding offers from the Corona Suzuki World SuperBike Team and Ducati America. The Yamaha deal was a big $$ number and ultimately proved more attractive for Anthony. So the US in 2002 will see all 3 Gobert boys in action

Jun 15 - News - Anthony Gobert injury update. Anthony's wrist fracture is not too bad and he should still make the World SuperBike round at Laguna etc. and also be able to race at Suzuka. Anthony is in good spirits and is doing a rain dance as I write this. If it rains on Sunday the American SuperBikes don't race, simple as that, and of course if that happens Anthony will essentially be not disadvantaged in the points race as nobody else will score any either. If all goes well Anthony should be able to race again in as little as a fortnight. X-rays have been flown to Dr. Ting but it is now thought Anthony will not require any surgery at all
Jun 15 - News - After setting the pace in 1st practice at Loudon Anthony Gobert suffered a heavy fall and will miss this weekend's race. He has fractured his wrist. He also dislocated his shoulder which the doctors have popped back in. Anthony also sustained very deep tissue damage around the elbow area. Anthony was due to go to Suzuka next week to test for the 8-hour so this is bad timing indeed. However his injuries are not that serious and Anthony is talking with Dr. Ting about maybe pinning the wrist.

Jan 24 - News - The Gobert boys have been participating in some testing at Laguna Seca. Yesterday (on the 600) Anthony got down to a 1m31 while younger brother Aaron (2000 Oz 250 Production Champion) got down to the 32s. Aaron had to have some small adjustments made to his bike to allow him to nurse his injured shoulder (he dislocated it late last week while out MotoCross training).
