More money and prizes up for grabs in the GP classes at Oran Park
| In an effort to increase
the size of both the 125 and 250 GP fields at the series final later this
month Motorcycling Australia along with motorcycle apparel manufacturer
'Teknic' joining forces with Turramurra Cyclery have offered to boost the
prize pool for the 'C' graders. Teknic will provide over $500 worth of product and trophies to the top three 'C' graders in 125 GP at Oran Park while Turramurra Cyclery are providing prize money and trophies to the top three 'C' graders in 250 GP. "We are delighted to get involved in this promotion, it's just some incentive for some of our 'C' graders to get on the track with Australia's best riders at Oran Park", commented Turramurra Cyclery's Mark Rowling. Pat Galvin, general manager of Galvin Marketing in Sydney stated, "We want to help the 'C' graders and will provide Teknic protective apparel to the top three 'C' graders along with trophies. It's also a good opportunity for the riders to test their skills at the final round of the Australian Championship and to consider doing the whole championship in 2002." Oran Park hosts the final round of the Shell Advance Australian Road Racing Championships later this month, August 24-26. |
