News - World SuperSport - Adam Fergusson is a confirmed rider for Alpha Tecknic Honda. Kevin Curtain will also be on a Honda but riding for the BKM Team which Kev raced for a couple of times this year when they were campaigning Yamahas.

Racing - Australia won the Oceania Trans-Tasman Challenge at the Manfield circuit in New Zealand on the weekend. 1. Ashkenazi (AUS), 2. Rees (NZ), 3. Giles (AUS), 4. Donald (AUS), 5. Coxhell (AUS).
Racing - The Dark Dog International SuperBike Challenge was held at Kyalami on November 26th. The UK and Australia both fielded teams in the event. The results are here.
Racing - Victorian Historic Titles.
Racing - Phil Read was in Perth on the weekend for the Western Australian Historic Titles. The results and nearly 30 images are here. Phil commented that he loved the place, will definitely be back next year and may even track down a bike to race at the event in 2001.

Racing - GP - SuperSport race 2 from P.I. A lot of Aussie race fans go to the GP's and World SuperBike rounds at great expense but do not bother to attend their own local ARRC round. The Australian 250 Production and SuperSport races at Phillip Island today are like all the ARRC rounds, packed with close racing and hard fought battles between guys that if given competitive machinery would prove very competitive in any world championship. Couple this with cheaper admission and I know where the best value for race fans is.........

Kevin Curtain and Robbie Baird led the way in SuperSport while Honda's Adam Fergusson recovered from an early crash to end up fastest in SuperBike. Racing - Australian Road Racing Championship points standings after round 5. Anthony Gobert was unable to make today's races due to bike problems. Unfortunately youngest brother Alex damaged his shoulder in the 2nd SuperSport race. Not all bad for the Gobert clan however as Aaron managed to extend his lead in the 250 production championship. The SuperBike wins were shared between Shawn Giles and Adam Fergusson. Unless something disastrous happens at the next round Giles will take the SuperBike title this year. Robbie Baird took both wins in SuperSport and in doing so extended his championship lead.

Racing - Aug 25 - The Aussie SuperBike boys were out at Eastern Creek today readying themselves for tomorrow's qualifying sessions. Alex Gobert had a big get off in SuperSport this morning but got straight back into the action to end up 4th quickest in SuperSport, 6th quickest in SuperBike. His brother Anthony was only a gnat's whisker quicker than Alex in SuperBike to be 5th quickest. 'Krusty' Fergusson topped the times today from Giles, Curtain and Rees. Robbie Baird was quickest in SuperSport followed by Turnbull, 'Krusty', as already mentioned Alex Gobert was 4th fastest, just ahead of Steve Martin. News - Craig Coxhell broke his right ankle at Lakeside yesterday and has a very sore back, but should be back in to the action as soon as his ankle has healed. Lets hope this little hiccup doesn't hold Craig up too much from going on to even bigger and better things. The Victorian teenager has a very bright future indeed.

Our test Fireblade was snatched this morning to be used as Shannon Johnson's race bike. They changed the bodywork and rear shock, rushed it up to Lakeside, then Shannon Johnson put it into 5th spot on the grid for tomorrow's races!
