| Giles got the jump this time but Maxwell also
launched well to stick in behind Giles. Coxhell 3rd, Gobert 4th, Cudlin 5th. Shawn Giles not getting too far away from Maxwell, yet... Coxhell in 3rd but starting to be challenged by Alex Gobert. But Alex out-braked himself into the esses after the back of his Fireblade launched into the air off the bump in the track on the entry. This allowed Cudlin and Stauffer to get past him but Alex got Stauffer back around the tight part of the circuit. Giles, Maxwell, Coxhell, Cudlin, Gobert, Stauffer, Rees, Simpson is the race order. Coxhell passed Maxwell on the short straight but Maxwell immediately fights back into his 2nd spot. But Coxhell gets him on the straight and takes 2nd spot again. Giles is now nearly 5 seconds in front. Maxwell being hounded by Cudlin and Gobert now. Gobert under Cudlin at the end of the short straight but Cudlin gets him again on the next corner, then Gobert through again in the esses. Lap 8 - Giles, Coxhell, Maxwell, Gobert, Cudlin, Stauffer, Rees, Simpson. Coxhell looks to be struggling with traction from the rear now. Gobert under Maxwell for 3rd and a lap later also took Coxhell for 2nd. Cudlin and Stauffer really on Maxwell's case now. Maxwell off in the tight section.
