As they start lap 2 the race order is Giles, Coxhell, Cudlin, Rees, Stauffer, Normoyle, Gobert. Less than 1 second covering the top ten.

Coxhell challenging Giles under brakes at the end of the back straight, Coxhell through for the lead.

Gobert having bike trouble on lap 3 and will be pulling out of the race.

Giles screws the power on hard to try and get the run on Coxhell but has a big slide and has to get out of the throttle for the moment. This is no wait and see from Giles he is hard on it in an effort to catch Coxhell.

Stauffer and Rees swapping places for 4th, Cudlin still in 3rd. Stauffer nearly lost the rear under brakes but held it together, this allowed Rees to gap him a length or two however as the two continue their battle for 4th.

Giles through on Coxhell in the midfield at the half way distance of this race but the young Radar's Yamaha man staying right on the Suzuki's tail.

Coxhell challenging Giles under brakes at every turn, he even appears to be getting on the throttle earlier on the way out but as soon as Giles hits the throttle on the Suzuki he leaves the R1 for dead.

Cudlin still in 3rd but 4 seconds behind the leading duo.

Rees and Stauffer still battling for 4th but they are clearly catching Cudlin, maybe those brake problems Damian had in qualifying are causing him to slow a little.

Coxhell still all over Giles but the Suzuki man and reigning Australian SuperBike Champion still holding the upper hand.

Rees under Cudlin on the brakes relegating his young team-mate to 4th. Giles takes the win with Coxhell right behind, Rees 3rd, Cudlin 4th, Stauffer 5th, Normoyle 6th.
