| Brookes led the field into
turn 1 with Brendan Clarke right behind, Clarke took the lead half way
into the lap, Brookes back underneath Clarke into the final turn but
Clarke gets the run out, Taylor and Baird cross the line together 3rd and
4th.
Brookes takes Clarke under brakes once again, you can't keep up with the amount of lead changes, half a dozen or more per lap. Baird up to 3rd and now just behind Clarke and Brookes. Baird through on Brookes for 2nd, but Brookes gets him back shortly after and then a couple of corners later shot back to the lead, unbelievable stuff. Brookes and Clarke swapping places at nearly every turn, Baird still right with them also. Final lap - Clarke through on Brookes, but Brookes comes right back at the next corner in an incredible late braking move while banked right over, Brookes stands the bike up for drive onto the main straight in his trademark style and takes the win from Clarke, Baird 3rd.
