Shannon Johnson calls in from Europe - April 2

Shannon Johnson tested at Assen on Sunday and went 3 seconds under the existing European SuperStock record. The circuit was open for a normal track day and not privately booked by the Ten Kate Team but Shannon was confident that the time at Assen was very beneficial.

"It's good just to get some time on the bike as I have only done one test so far. This is probably why I didn't go as well in Valencia as I had hoped but 4th is not a bad start to the season. "Next weekend I will ride a new World SuperSport spec' Honda CBR 600 F4i around Assen and that will be fast for sure. "Unfortunately I did not get a wildcard for the World SuperSport race at Phillip Island and I am a bit pissed about that as I know I would have damaged a few egos in that field. I will have to settle for being the reserve World SuperSport rider for HRC, Ten Kate, BKM, Alpha Technik and Castrol Honda. I fly back home after the SuperSport test this weekend for a bit of a rest & relaxation before the racing gets underway again. Cheers and see you at the Island!"
