The third instalment of the Robert's dummy spit saga

Suzuki 500cc motorcycle racing boss Garry Taylor has moved to quash talk that reigning world champion, Kenny Roberts, will quit the team. American Roberts pulled out of the last Grand Prix in the Czech Republic frustrated that his bike was uncompetitive after leading the first two laps.

Taylor said he had made known his displeasure at Roberts quitting when he could still have scored valuable world championship points. Suzuki is upgrading the American's bike for the rest of the season, starting from this weekend's Portuguese race. Taylor said Roberts was contracted for next year and that should be the end of talk that he would switch camps.

Among teams Roberts has been linked with have been Red Bull Yamaha, as team-mate to McCoy, Repsol Honda and Shell Advance Honda, the outfit run by Australian Jeff Hardwick.

Although Kenny's action at Czecho would have impressed no one.  Even one of the official MotoGP mouthpieces in Randy Mamola, a Roberts family friend,  gave Kenny a taste of the poison pen (keyboard).
