Need practice time at Phillip Island before the GP ? - Dunlop to the rescue

Dunlop has announced its support of an open test day for riders competing in next month's Qantas 2001 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island.

To be held on Wednesday 26 September, the Dunlop practice day is open to all riders officially entered in the Superbike, Supersport and 250cc Production support races on the Grand Prix meeting program.

Nominated Wild Card entries in the 125cc and 250cc Grand Prix categories are also invited to participate in the test day.

"Dunlop has organised this test because most riders have had little time on the Phillip Island circuit this year," Dunlop Tyres' Motorcycle Manager Owen Hughes said.

"It's an opportunity for the riders and teams to properly tune their bikes for the track, and perhaps help them perform at their optimum when the Grand Prix meeting rolls around."

Electronic timing will be provided and the test day is also open to riders who do not use Dunlop tyres.

Dunlop will provide an on-site tyre fitting service, complimentary to its own riders. Gates will open at 7am, with practice commencing at 9am.  Ring Neil on 0418 697 767 to book your spot.
