manufacturer Denso is a new addition to the sponsor line-up for the 2001
Qantas Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. Denso International Australia will sponsor the Australian SuperSport support class at the 2001 Australian Grand Prix.
The Denso SuperSports will have a 20-minute practice session at the Grand
Prix circuit on the afternoon of Thursday, October 11, with a 20-minute
qualifying session later that day, and there will be eight-lap Denso
SuperSports races on the afternoons of Friday, October 12, and Saturday,
October 13. Among riders who sing the praises of Denso spark plugs are Japanese racing greats Masao Azuma and Noboru (Nobby) Ueda, who between them have won three of the four 125cc races since the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix returned to Phillip Island in 1997. |
