World SuperBike - Aprilia tests at Monza
| Aprilia official test
rider, Alessandro Antonello, spent two days at the modified Monza
circuit this week in the aim of getting the RSV-R dialed into the tricky
Italian circuit.
The Noale's R&D squad tested different braking materials and different set-ups for the front brake. The new track lay-out needs very strong brakes, and Aprilia claims the tests showed good results. The next appointment with Monza's track will be on next month for the fifth WSBK round. Two important races, before WSBK join Europe after Australia's and Japan's April races held on next 22 and 29. "Hard job and good tests" said Alessandro Antonello. "Good track condition too and interesting results. We had frequently pit stops with a quick response with the technicians due to make a comparison among different tested materials. Any way, I got 65 laps on the long Monza's track and I joy for that. The bike development is constant but I think I also reach useful information that the official riders will use on the next races in Monza". |
