Broc Parkes to World SuperBike with NCR Ducati

Broc Parkes looks set to put pen to paper with NCR Ducati early next week.

Broc raced in Japan last year but attended the Valencia World SuperBike tests with Krusty Fergusson and Shannon Johnson among others and impressed Ducati so much they chased him for the NCR ride.

The 19 year old Aussie hails from New South Wales and it appears that Wayne Gardner may help things along on the sponsorship front with his now well practiced, and obviously effective, business skills.

First up at the Valencia he rode a fairly low spec 996 as raced in a European series and made it under their lap record after only 15 laps.  The Ducati men then put him on a real 996 racebike and were impressed with his instant show of speed on a new bike.

Broc's dad commented that his son had learnt a hell of a lot during the 2000 season when his team-mate at Moriwaki broke his back early in the season which basically left Broc to help develop a new bike all on his own (from a rider point of view).

We wish Broc all the best for this season along with all our other Aussie racers that are set to light the world on fire this year.
