lined up for the third and final race of their GP weekend immediately
after an exciting race 2. Attard pipped George and Allerton on the
line for the win in that race but the others will be out for revenge in
the finale. Allerton held the overall points lead from the weekend
going in to this final race. Drew Bennett ran of the circuit and grass tracked seemingly forever until he came to a stop. Glenn Allerton sprinted away to an early lead from Ben Attard and Brent George. Lachlan Elder went down in the left-hander after MG but escaped injury. Attard got the lead as they crossed the line to start lap 2 but Allerton shot back to the lead in turn 1. Brent George also moved past Attard a couple of corners later to take 2nd place. Attard got that spot back later in lap 2 but Allerton had escaped to the tune of a full second. Jordan Coote ran straight on at Honda but gathered it up to rejoin the race after losing many positions. Allerton then ran off around the back of the circuit. forcing himself out of the race and handing the lead to Ben Attard who immediately tried to gap Brent George. 5 seconds further back a titanic battle for third was going down between Brent Sidwell and Dustin Goldsmith. As they commenced the final lap Ben Attard had a 2.8 second advantage over Brent George. Goldsmith and Sidwell were nearly 8 seconds behind the leader and continuing their battle over 3rd place. Goldsmith led for most of the last lap before Sidwell slotted over him at MG but Goldsmith got the advantage back on the run to the line to take 3rd. Attard took the win by 3.4 seconds over Brent George. Attard took the event win with 60 points over Brent George on 51 points and Glenn Allerton still managed 3rd overall for the weekend even though he recorded a DNF in this final race.
