| Russell
Holland got the worst start ever with the bike bogging down on the line
and him going from pole to the back of the field in one go. Holland
had proved fastest all weekend and got back to 5th by the end of the first
lap. Western Australia's Peter Taplin in the lead at this stage.
It only took Holland 3 laps to overhaul Taplin and he immediately started
to stretch the gap by over 2 seconds per lap. Mark Stanley and Adam
Brunskill battled throughout the race for 3rd but it was Russell Holland
who took the win by some 29 seconds over Peter Taplin with Brunskill
getting the better of Stanley on the last lap for 3rd.
