Unfortunately championship leader Russell Holland could not make the starting grid after breaking his shoulder in Friday practice.  A similar story for Mark Rowling who was also unable to make the grid.

Mark Stanley and Peter Taplin got off the line well and Stanley led in turn 1 but Taplin quickly overhauled him to take the lead.  Taplin could not shake Stanley though and the two quickly eked out a lead over the rest of the field.  By half race distance the Taplin / Stanley duo had stretched a 12 second lead over 3rd placed Earl Lynch.

Mark Stanley out-braked himself at the end of Falken Straight and visited the gravel trap but re-joined the circuit after losing 10 second on Peter Taplin but still with 4 second on the 3rd placed Lynch.

Matt Tingate had a huge moment running on to the 'old' start-finish straight and bounced off the air-fence but somehow managed to stay upright.  Then a dog made it's way on to the circuit to add a little more excitement !

Peter Taplin went on to take an easy win from Mark Stanley, with defending champion Earl Lynch in 3rd.
