Jamie Stauffer got the run off the line but it was Josh Brookes who shot to the lead around the back of the circuit to take the lead and immediately start to pull some ground.  Jamie Stauffer was being hounded by Robert Bugden and Shawn Giles.

Gilesy blew past both Bugden and Stauffer down the main straight to take 2nd place but Jamie came right back at him to make a battle of it.  This battle for 2nd had allowed Brookes a little breathing space and he used it well to take his lead out to 8-tenths of a second as they started lap 3.

Gilesy put this head down though and took all that time back on the next lap and took the lead in to turn 1 for the 4th lap, Brookesy tried on the outside in 1, then at turn 2 and 3 but finally made a pass stick at turn 4 to take the lead back.

On to the main straight to start lap 5 and Giles powers past but Brookesy once again pulls off a ridiculously brave on the outside around turn 1, one of the fastest corners in the country, this kid must have balls the size of coconuts!

The action hard and fast up front but Gilesy and Brookes seem to be able to bang fairings while keeping things fair and square.  Shawn pulling big slides trying to get the huge power of the big Suzuki down to the ground.

Gilesy pulled a huge mono over the hill on to the main straight to start lap 7, a great bit of showmanship, but he still held enough drive to get Brookes down the straight and this time he held the lead around the back of the circuit and had pulled 7-tenths of a second on Brookes by the start of the penultimate lap.

Giles, on fresh rubber, had stretched his lead out to 1.2 seconds as they got the last lap board.  Jamie Stauffer had got the better of Robert Bugden for 3rd.

Gilesy pulling huge slides for the crowd on the last lap and putting on a great show and celebrates his win with a big mono across the line.  Brookes home 2nd, Stauffer 3rd.
