This year’s Shell Advance
Australian Superbike Championship will be given comprehensive television
coverage on SBS.
The deal will see each SAASC Round covered on SBS, in a one hour timeslot. The opening round of the SAASC at Phillip Island on February 16-17 will be telecast approximately three weeks after the event, with every meeting thereafter telecast on a one-week delay. Whether the broadcasts take place on weekends or weekdays is not confirmed at this stage. The program’s title will be “The Shell Advance Australian Superbike Championship”. “The content of the telecast will vary from round to round, but obviously the premier class, the SuperBikes, will enjoy the majority of the exposure,” Mr White said. “Our aim is to give all classes some exposure.”
Production will be handled by Sydney-based AVE Pty Ltd,
which has an extensive background in motorsport through its Speedweek
program, also on SBS. |
