Steven Fisher was the early leader in this one but Craig Trinder took his customary spot up front in quick smart fashion. Trinder sprinted away from Fisher, he had 2.5 seconds on Fisher by the end of lap 2 and was already pulling monos around the back of the circuit. Craig would have been pumped from his two young charges, Daniel and Jamie Stauffer, taking the 1-2 in the premier Xtreme class earlier in the day. Matthew Waldron took second from Fisher on lap 3, Michael Thomas the first of the Kawasakis in fourth place at half race distance. A few slight drops of drizzle started to fall around this stage of the race, but it stopped as quick as it started and posed little problem from for the racers. Craig Trinder celebrated the win a main straight length mono. Waldron second, while Butler took third spot from Steven Fisher. Trinder - "Congratulations to the team for preparing my Yamaha FZ-1 so well and allowing me to do the business out there."
