Daniel Stauffer is extremely keen to take the first FX round win for his Bio-Magnetic Sport Yamaha Team. Heading in to this third of the four races he was the front man, with a win and a second having him marginally ahead of Kevin Curtain who had a third in race 1 and a win in race 2. Jamie Stauffer had his machine fail in leg 2 but will be eager to make amends for that in this race. Jamie Stauffer got the best run off the line but Kevin Curtain led in to turn 1 before Jamie edging ahead again on the run to turn 2, Robbie Baird 3rd. Tony Rees 4th, Daniel Stauffer 5th, Craig Coxhell 6th. Kevin Curtain tried to put a move on Jamie Stauffer at turn 1 on lap 3, Kevin definitely not happy to settle for 2nd and out for the win. Daniel Stauffer squeezed through on Tony Rees for 4th but would have his work cut out for him if he is going to try and get on terms with the leaders. Jamie Stauffer holding on to the lead at half race distance but looking to be struggling with the rear end hooking up. Kevin Curtain also started to have rear grip problems around this stage of the race with some big sideways moments, something that never normally see from Curtain who is the master of finding drive. Daniel Stauffer had put his head down after his poor start to put a challenge on Robbie Baird for 3rd, the reigning FX Champion won't give his position away easily though. Kevin Curtain took the lead on the penultimate lap, almost as soon as he hit the front some mechanical problem forced him to put his hand up and start to fall back through the field. Daniel Stauffer also got through on Robbie Baird for 3rd, Robbie having to back it off to avoid Kev when he put his hand up, making it a Bio-Magnetics Sport 1-2 as they started the last lap. Daniel and Jamie rubbed fairings on the run to the finish but it was Jamie who took the win.
