Bio-Magnetic Sport are on track for their first FX round win after some fantastic performances from Daniel and Jamie Stauffer today.  But should anything untowards happen in this final leg then Kevin Curtain will be there ready to scoop the pool.  Curtain is on the spare machine, last year's R1 as he had some troubles with his 2002 machine cutting out a couple of times in the previous race.

Kevin Curtain held up the race start to adjust the front forks, don't know about the legality of that but the field got away anyway.  Coxhell got the best run off the line and led them in to turn 1 but Jamie Stauffer moved in to the lead through the same corner.

As they started lap 2 Jamie Stauffer led from Craig Coxhell with Robbie Baird and Kevin Curtain right behind.  Daniel Stauffer in 5th after not the best of starts once again, Brookes 6th.

Jamie Stauffer pulled half a second on Coxhell but Craig the only one keeping Jamie in sight as the leading duo dropped Robbie Baird, Daniel Stauffer and Kevin Curtain around a second behind them.

Daniel Stauffer started to challenge Robbie Baird for 3rd at half race distance.   Craig Coxhell had not let Jamie Stauffer get away though and had actually got the gap back down to 3-tenths of a second.

Early on lap 5 Daniel Stauffer touched the back of Robbie Baird which catapulted Dan in to the kitty litter and out of the race.  That could be the difference between a Bio-Magnetics or Radar's round win, we will have to wait and see.  Another factor could be the fact that Kev made adjustments to his bike after the warm up lap, if somebody appeals and it is deemed to be illegal.

Craig Coxhell still on the case of Jamie Stauffer, this is what we expect to see from young Craig who has had a bad run of late.  Both Craig and Jamie lapping in the 1m10s bracket.

As they got the last lap board Jamie Stauffer led by less than 3-tenths over Coxhell.  Kevin Curtain a further 3 seconds behind in 3rd.

Coxhell tried his best to put a move on Jamie Stauffer but both were slightly baulked by a lapped rider.  A great race, and a fantastic return to form for young Coxhell.

Even though Jamie had a DNF in one of the races he had collected enough points to take the round win.  Kevin Curtain 2nd overall for the round, Dan Stauffer 3rd for the round.  The penalty for Curtain's suspension adjustments on the grid after the warm up lap was a monetary fine, allowing the results to stand.

Daniel Stauffer was unlucky enough to receive a broken scaphoid in his fall.  He will be under the pump to get fit enough for the final round at Eastern Creek, September 28-29.
