Congratulations to all these riders on their selection.  Normally the highest placed riders in the Australian domestic series get selected but this year Dorna is enforcing a rule whereby wildcards have to be under 25 years of age.  As a result some riders have missed out on selection.

Mat Mladin is working towards scoring a wildcard ride on a Suzuki GSV-R MotoGP machine in the premier class.

The 2002 SKYY Vodka Motorcycle Grand Prix takes place at Phillip Island on 20 October.
