More wildcards for Australian GP

We told you yesterday that young Josh Waters has scored a wildcard entry for the 125 GP race at the SKYY Vodka Australian Motorcycle GP next month.

Today it was announced that Brendan Clarke and Mark Stanley have also scored wildcard entries, they will compete in the 250 class.

Brendan Clarke rode six 500cc races last year, and has intermittently competed in some Australian road racing this year.

Mark Stanley has been competing regularly in the Australian 250 GP Championship for a number of seasons.

It was also confirmed this week that Kawasaki's MotoGP machine will also make an appearance at the Australian Grand Prix, with Akira Yanagawa at the controls. Japan's Shinichi Ito is also a new wildcard entry to the MotoGP class, he will ride a two-stroke 500 for the Kanemoto Racing Team.

These riders will join the MA nominated wildcards at the event.
