Loris Capirossi is on track to maybe crack the 2000 points barrier in his GP career.  The following is a list of the highest career points scores achieved by riders.

Casey Stoner recently became the youngest ever rider to score points in 250 GP.  The following is a list of rankings with 250 points scorers ranked by lowest age.

At the Spanish Grand Prix Jorge Lorenzo became the youngest ever rider to compete in a World Championship Grand Prix. Lorenzo celebrated his 15th birthday on the second day of qualifying for the Grand Prix and was therefore not allowed to ride on the first day of qualifying. Unless the rules are changed, this is a record than can only be equaled but never beaten. Shown below are the five youngest ever riders to start a Grand Prix race:

Hector Barbera ’s 12th place finish in Spain made him the second youngest rider ever to score points in any class of World Championship Grand Prix. The youngest rider to score points is Ivan Palazzese, who finished on the podium at the Venezuelan Grand Prix in 1977 when under the official age limit at that time. Palazzese later lost his life, after crashing at the German Grand Prix in 1989 at Hockenheim.

Tohru Ukawa scored his first ever Grand Prix victory in France, the 250cc race in 1999 at Paul Ricard. Ukawa also took the win in the 250cc class at Le Mans in 2000 but crashed out of the 500cc race last year on lap eleven. Ukawa has his 29th birthday on the second day of qualifying for the French GP.
