Jim Moodie took the eighth Isle of Man TT win of his career with victory
in Wednesday morning's four-lap Junior 600cc
race around the 37.73-mile course. Moodie led from start to finish and his victory became comfortable when closest rivals David Jefferies and John McGuinness both retired. Jefferies was a first lap retirement on Sulby straight while McGuinness stopped at the 111th Milestone while holding second place on lap two. That left Welshman Ian Lougher in a safe second place as he took a second successive runner-up finish on the TT course after finishing second to Jefferies in Monday's 1000cc Production TT. Isle of Man-based Welshman Jason Griffiths took third place in the 150-mile race with Ulstermen Richard Britton and Ryan Farquhar fourth and fifth respectively. Richard Quayle, winner of Monday's 400cc TT was sixth on his RG Campbell CBR600 Honda with Adrian Archibald, also on a CBR600 Honda, seventh.
