Chambon got the jump
from Foret and immediately pulls out a few bike lengths. Vermeulen
4th, Muggeridge 11th, Curtain 12th. Foret out-braked himself a lap
later which put him back to 4th place. Foret back through on Teuchert for 3rd. Kellner in 2nd and pressuring race leader Chambon. Vermeulen in 5th but the fastest man on lap 3. A lap later Foret took Kellner for 2nd. Foret had lost so much ground in that earlier incident that he must have a lot more speed than the others to seemingly come back so easily. Vermeulen now 4th, Pitt 5th, Curtain 11th, Muggeridge 12th. Foret back to the lead on lap 7. Vermeulen the fastest man again on lap 6 and now right on the back of Kellner and ready to challenge for 3rd. Curtain down and out. Foret out and leading but Chambon not giving up, the Frenchman the fastest man on lap 8. Vermeulen seems to have lost a little place. Pitt and Whitham battling over 5th position. Muggeridge 14th. MacPherson out of the race on lap 16 of 23. Muggeridge 13th. 5 laps to run and Chambon still sitting in behind Fabien Foret. Vermeulen in 3rd but 5 seconds behind the leaders. Kellner 4th, Pitt 5th, Whitham 6th. Muggeridge 14th. Foret takes the win from Chambon. Kellner pips Vermeulen on the line for 3rd.
