Honda UK rider Karl Muggeridge will start from eight place in tomorrow’s 10th round of the World Supersport championship here at Oschersleben in Germany.

For a long time in this final qualifying session none of the riders were able to improve their times since the track was pretty slippery from the sidecar practice plus also 12 degrees hotter than in the morning session.

Australian rider Muggas improved on his best lap time by more than half a second from his Friday efforts and believes victory can be his.

“I’ve felt competitive pretty much all weekend, so I was a bit disappointed at first not having made the front row” said Muggeridge who was fourth fastest for most of the morning free practice.

“We worked on the chassis and made a few changes to the machine set-up for today and ended up from having too much grip to not enough grip. But we run out of time and so were not able to find a happy medium.”

He added: “We’ve a few ideas to try out in the morning but I’m confident I can run at the front in tomorrow’s race.”

Fujiwara set the pace in the final session and took his second pole position of the year and for sure will be on the hunt of that championship lead in tomorrow’s 28-lap race.
