FABIEN FORET - Pole - "I was surprised to get pole, I
thought my time wasn't the best I could do and felt sure another rider
would go faster. I feel I can go quicker around this circuit. I am
hoping for a dry race on Sunday, but if it rains, then at least I am at
the front and hopefully can avoid too much spray!" ANDREW PITT - 2nd - "I tried really hard on a race tyre early on, but the times didn't really come, we tried a slightly different tyre mid-session, but I think I was trying a bit too hard and I didn't really manage to string any fast laps together. Then, for the final part of the session, everything seemed to come together and I went quicker than I have all weekend. Consistency will be the key in tomorrow's race. If I can post consistently fast lap times over full race distance, then I think we'll be in with a shout of a podium at the end. We'll just have to see how it goes from the start." KATSUAKI FUJIWARA - 3rd - "I'm very happy to be third today after being twenty-seventh yesterday - it 's a bit of a change! I 'm very happy to be on the front row, because I think that Lausitzring is a hard track for overtaking, so it 's important to be on the front row - and then make a good start of course! I 'm happy with our wet set-up, but I 'm not so sure about our dry set-up, because we only had about forty-five minutes of dry time all weekend. Our gear ratios in the dry are not quite right, so if it 's dry in the morning warm-up, we 'll change the ratios and hopefully improve the bike. It 's difficult to push very hard in the wet, so I 'd prefer a dry race." KARL MUGGERIDGE - 6th - "The machine feels good around here, We've got a good setting if it's dry and a good setting if it's wet so I'm happy enough. I'm a bit disappointed with qualifying because I know I can go quicker. We put a soft rear tyre in for a fast lap but it didn't suit our dry weather setting and I couldn't get the kind of lap time I was searching for. But this is the fourth round in succession that I've been on the first or second rows so I'm pleased with the consistency we've found." STEPHANE CHAMBON - 7th - "No big problems today - just a few minor things. I didn 't find the front so grippy as I would 've liked and maybe the tyre was a bit too hard. I found the bike a bit hard to turn, so we 'll make some changes for tomorrow morning 's warm-up and see if we can get a better feeling. Our wet set-up is OK, but I 'm not entirely happy with our possible wet set-up because we haven 't had much dry time at all. The second row is OK for me, but I know I have to get a good start for sure." CHRIS VERMEULEN - 9th - “It looked like rain the
whole session and everyone was very tense trying to get in a quick lap.
I just didn’t get a clear shot at it. My time was set on a race tyre.
It’s frustrating, but I know on a race tyre I am quick and I’ll just
have to take some confidence out of that. We haven’t seen blue sky since
we got here. It’s just cloudy all the time. They say tomorrow will be
the same with the race to be held in dry conditions. The third row is
not ideal, but if I can get away with them I should be right."
