-
They are off the line, Chambon gets
a flyer
-
Muggeridge ran very wide in the
right hander which relegated him to 3rd
-
Chambon, Foret, Muggeridge,
Whitham, Fujiwara, Curtain is the top six on lap 1
-
Fujiwara up in to 3rd from
Muggeridge and Whitham
-
Chambon still out in front from
Foret
-
Whitham took Muggeridge for 4th
-
Cogan down and out in the gravel
after running 9th
-
Chambon building a bit of a gap now
out in front, a couple of bike lengths over Foret and Fujiwara.
Whitham challenging Fujiwara for that 3rd spot
-
Curtain had got his way up to 5th
in a great ride but then the organisers showed him the stop & go
penalty board, a great pity for Curtain
-
Lap 6 of 23 - Chambon, Foret,
Fujiwara, Whitham, Curtain, Casoli, Muggeridge, Teuchert, Pitt
-
Chambon down and hurt, Chambon out
of the race
-
Foret inherits the lead, Fujiwara
2nd, Whitham 3rd
-
Red flag out, probably for more
medical assistance to get to Chambon who looks very hurt indeed, but
he is conscious
-
Chambon up and walking to the
medical car, great to see, nobody could criticise the organisers for
bringing the red flag out there as the first signs were not
encouraging
-
We will be up for a re-start soon
-
Pit lane open again in one minutes
time, if Chambon is cleared by the medics he will be able to take the
grid for the re-start. As the aggregate time will be taken from
the lap before the red flag came out Chambon will still be the leader
on time when they re-start the race
-
Bikes coming out of pit lane now
-
Riders gridding up now, it doesn't
look as though Chambon will front up for the re-start, whether that is
of his own volition or the medical staff have forbidden him from
taking the grid again
-
They will do another warm up lap
when the grid clears
-
Riders forming up again now after
the warm up lap
-
They are off now in the re-start,
Fujiwara got the best run off the line to take the lead, Kevin Curtain
right with him but still has to come in for a stop & go penalty
-
Andrew Pitt scything his way
through the field
-
Jamie Whitham had a HUGE highside
on to the main straight and was banged along the ground like a rag
doll, it looked truly horrifying, one of the ugliest crashes I have
seen
-
Red flag out again
-
Hopefully Jamie is okay, the
accident looked really nasty, even though he did not slam a wall real
hard, he was slapped in to the tarmac very hard quite a few times in a
high speed tumble
-
Jamie Whitham is still on the
ground with the medical staff though word has come through that he is
not too seriously injured, thorough precautions being taken though
-
Whitham on a stretcher and in the
back of the ambulance now and strapped in tight with a neck brace, he
managed to lift his arm though to salute the crowd who responded with
a big cheer
-
Riders out on the form up lap once
again now
-
Warm up lap now
-
On the grid again, off they go,
Curtain got a great run off the line, still has to come in for a stop
& go penalty though, Foret in the lead, Muggeridge 3rd
-
Casoli up in to 3rd after passing
Curtain, all these placings are on the road but aggregate times will
be slightly different due to the re-starts
-
Fujiwara drifted back a little over
that lap, shifted back to 5th in fact
-
Muggeridge in 2nd but coming under
attack from Casoli
-
Andrew Pitt in 6th place on the
track
-
Kevin Curtain pulling in to
pit-lane for his stop & go penalty
-
Paolo Casoli takes the lead on the
track from Foret, Muggeridge also challenging
-
Andrew Pitt in to the gravel trap,
pushing it out of the dirt and trying to get going again
-
Fujiwara through on Muggeridge for
3rd on track position but holds down 2nd place on aggregate times
-
Muggeridge down, Muggas lost the
front in to Surtees and is out of the race
-
Foret back in front again now,
Casoli 2nd on track, Fujiwara 3rd
-
Foret looked behind near the run to
the straight, as he looked around his bike stepped out from the rear
and slapped him on to the ground, the same place as Chambon went down
-
The red flag is out once again
-
Riders are gridding up once again
now, they will have to do another warm up lap now
-
Riders heading off on their warm up
lap now
-
Coming around to grid up once
again, this must go close to a record for re-starts
-
Andrew Pitt is starting from the
back of the grid due to his fall, he will be lucky to salvage any
points from today
-
Fujiwara in front from Casoli and
Foret
-
Foret still seems to look around at
every corner, even though it looked as though doing exactly that was
responsible for his crash. Somebody should just fit mirrors to
his bike
-
Casoli leading now, but Fujiwara
gets past him again to re-take the lead a couple of corners later
-
Casoli back in front once again.
Kevin Curtain up to fourth
-
Foret, Fujiwara, Casoli is the
leading trio on aggregate time but Casoli is leading on track
-
Foret through to the lead from 3rd,
so he now holds the lead on track along with also leading the race on
aggregate time
-
Curtain still 4th on track but 13th
on aggregate, Andrew Pitt 20th on aggregate time
-
Foret still out in front from
Casoli and Fujiwara. Fujiwara is 2nd on aggregate time though
-
Paolo Casoli in to the lead, Foret
gets him back at the next corner, but Casoli had the inside line for
turn 1 and forced Foret wide which lost him a heap of places
-
Iain MacPherson got the most
benefit from the Casoli/Foret incident to take the lead on the track
-
Katsuaki Fujiwara through on
MacPherson for the lead a few corners later, MacPherson the fastest
man on the track though
-
Fujiwara leads on the track and
also on aggregate time now, last lap
-
Fujiwara takes the win
