Transcript from our live page that was updated throughout the session

  • Bayliss completes today's 3 world championship races, 2 in SuperBike, 1 in SuperSport.  And all Aussie winners, it does not get any better than that
  • Lapping riders now but everything running smoothly for Bayliss up front, nearly 2 seconds clear of Edwards
  • Bayliss is sliding around the turns now and is pushing hard, last lap board out now
  • It looks as though Edwards has given up the chase a little and may have decided to play it safe, there is only a couple of laps to go so unless Bayliss makes a mistake he has this race
  • Colin Edwards has dropped off the back of Bayliss a little now after Troy set a 1m33.773 which is the fastest lap since Edwards' 1m33.700 on lap 4
  • Bayliss, Edwards, Xaus, Haga, Hodgson, Bostrom, Toseland, Lavilla, Walker, Antonello is the top ten
  • 6 laps to run and Bayliss holds off Edwards at the end of the main straight that time around
  • Izutsu down at MG
  • Bayliss takes the lead back at turn one the next lap around
  • Edwards through at the end of the main straight with 8 lap to run
  • Troy Bayliss runs a little deep in to Honda Corner but Edwards gains no advantage from it
  • Bayliss right on Edwards' tail now as they start their run on to the main straight at half race distance, Bayliss out of the slipstream and takes the lead on the way to turn 1
  • Izutsu through on Hodgson for 4th on lap 11
  • Lap 10 of 22, Edwards still from Bayliss.  Xaus 3rd, Hodgson 4th, Izutsu just took Bostrom for 5th at MG
  • Chili crashes out
  • Steve Martin out of the race
  • Hodgson under Bostrom for 4th
  • Bayliss actually closed on Edwards a little on that last lap, number 7
  • Edwards again the fastest man on that lap with a 1m33.9, Bayliss 3-tenths behind on the track.  Xaus on a charge but 2 seconds behind the leader
  • Xaus through on Bostrom at Honda Corner
  • Still Edwards from Bayliss, Bostrom still 3rd but not on terms with Edwards and Bayliss.  Bostrom is actually starting to come under attack from a charging Xaus
  • Bayliss tried to take the lead back in to Honda but Edwards holds on
  • Pedercini pinged for a jump start, stop/go penalty
  • Edwards and Bayliss in to MG, Edwards gets the run under Bayliss and leads them across the line to start lap 4
  • Lap 3 now and Bayliss leads Edwards and Bostrom.  Haga is half a second back in 4th.  Steve Martin in 14th, Broc Parkes 15th
  • Edwards under Bostrom at MG to take 2nd
  • Bayliss, Bostrom, Edwards is the order as they start lap 2.  Then we have Haga, Hodgson, Xaus, Izutsu, Toseland, Lavilla with Walker rounding out the top 10
  • Ben Bostrom makes a huge move in to Honda Corner straight up in to 2nd, excellent move
  • Race start - Bayliss leads from Haga and Edwards through Southern Loop
  • They are on their warm up lap now
