- Bayliss completes today's
3 world championship races, 2 in SuperBike, 1 in SuperSport. And all
Aussie winners, it does not get any better than that
- Lapping riders now but
everything running smoothly for Bayliss up front, nearly 2 seconds clear of
Edwards
- Bayliss is sliding around
the turns now and is pushing hard, last lap board out now
- It looks as though
Edwards has given up the chase a little and may have decided to play it safe,
there is only a couple of laps to go so unless Bayliss makes a mistake he has
this race
- Colin Edwards has dropped
off the back of Bayliss a little now after Troy set a 1m33.773 which is the
fastest lap since Edwards' 1m33.700 on lap 4
- Bayliss, Edwards, Xaus,
Haga, Hodgson, Bostrom, Toseland, Lavilla, Walker, Antonello is the top ten
- 6 laps to run and Bayliss
holds off Edwards at the end of the main straight that time around
- Izutsu down at MG
- Bayliss takes the lead
back at turn one the next lap around
- Edwards through at the
end of the main straight with 8 lap to run
- Troy Bayliss runs a
little deep in to Honda Corner but Edwards gains no advantage from it
- Bayliss right on Edwards'
tail now as they start their run on to the main straight at half race
distance, Bayliss out of the slipstream and takes the lead on the way to turn
1
- Izutsu through on Hodgson
for 4th on lap 11
- Lap 10 of 22, Edwards
still from Bayliss. Xaus 3rd, Hodgson 4th, Izutsu just took Bostrom for
5th at MG
- Chili crashes out
- Steve Martin out of the
race
- Hodgson under Bostrom for
4th
- Bayliss actually closed
on Edwards a little on that last lap, number 7
- Edwards again the fastest
man on that lap with a 1m33.9, Bayliss 3-tenths behind on the track.
Xaus on a charge but 2 seconds behind the leader
- Xaus through on Bostrom
at Honda Corner
- Still Edwards from
Bayliss, Bostrom still 3rd but not on terms with Edwards and Bayliss.
Bostrom is actually starting to come under attack from a charging Xaus
- Bayliss tried to take the
lead back in to Honda but Edwards holds on
- Pedercini pinged for a
jump start, stop/go penalty
- Edwards and Bayliss in to
MG, Edwards gets the run under Bayliss and leads them across the line to start
lap 4
- Lap 3 now and Bayliss
leads Edwards and Bostrom. Haga is half a second back in 4th.
Steve Martin in 14th, Broc Parkes 15th
- Edwards under Bostrom at
MG to take 2nd
- Bayliss, Bostrom, Edwards
is the order as they start lap 2. Then we have Haga, Hodgson, Xaus,
Izutsu, Toseland, Lavilla with Walker rounding out the top 10
- Ben Bostrom makes a huge
move in to Honda Corner straight up in to 2nd, excellent move
- Race start - Bayliss
leads from Haga and Edwards through Southern Loop
- They are on their warm up
