Positive day for Frankie Chili at Kyalami: after the fifth fastest at the end of the qualifying sessions the Italian rider of 998R NCR Axo Ducati obtained the seventh fastest in the Superpole session earning the second row for tomorrow's races.

"Today too I am satisfied enough for our results, above all because finally I have been able to leave that evil third row! We have done several tests today and for the race we found a couple of tyres solutions which should be good; now we'll speak together with Dunlop people, who have been always close with us in this week end, to select the best solution for tomorrow's races. The engine of the bike I have used for Superpole was a bit tired, but that was the bike with the set up for Superpole and we had no time to do anything; for tomorrow we'll move the engine from one bike to the other and I am confident that I'll find some benefit." - said Chili after the practices - "Also my feeling with the bike is increasing. At the start I'll leave behind Bostrom and Haga, they are used to start well and I hope to have a good start too, to play at the best my chances."

Piergiorgio Bontempi is not satisfied for his eleventh place in the starting grid, that means the third row. This result is totally merit of the rider, thank a fantastic final lap at the end of the final session, strongly determined to conserve the 748 NCR Nortel Networks Ducati in the same position on the grid got yesterday.

Broc Parkes was a little disappointed, the young Aussie was only 9/1000ths of second behind the factory Suzuki of Lavilla to miss out on the SuperPole shootout.

"We have done a good job in the front of my NCR Parmalat 998R Ducati and now the machine runs better, but this track is too much waved. What a pity to fail the Superpole for such time difference; I have improved my performance, but that has been not enough! Now we have to speak for the race, the machine starts to spin-up early on the rear, loosing as traction and grip, and the race is long. Fortunately weather forecast for tomorrow says that it will be more fresh, I hope it will be enough."
