Hodgson got the lead from Bayliss at the Parabolica but not for long as the reigning world champion took the lead right back a couple of corners later.  Steve Martin and Broc Parkes 15th/16th

Xaus dumped it in the chicane

At the end of the pit straight Hodgson tried to out-brake Bayliss but the Aussie held his line in to the chicane

Bayliss led them around lap 1 from Hodgson and Chili, Edwards, Xaus and Ben Bostrom.
