Mick Kelly got the best run off the line but Josh Waters soon got through to make it a battle between the Mildura boys for the lead in the early laps.

A good battle for third then unfolded with Peter Galvin trying to hold off youngsters Matt Kuhne and Jason O'Halloran. Both the boys are less than half Peter's age...

Waters gradually pulled clear of Kelly to take the win by 4.6 seconds while Jason O'Halloran got the better of Peter Galvin for third.
