Josh Waters and Mick Kelly were the main protagonists in this exciting 125 Grand Prix race with the likeable Mildura based duo changing places at nearly every turn.

But a mistake by Kelly on lap 6 allowed his young counterpart to gap him by a full second which left Waters to have an easy run home while young Jason O'Halloran started to close down Kelly. The leading trio in the 1-minute 17-second bracket but 1.5 seconds off lap record pace at the increasingly bumpy circuit.

Peter Galvin has been running with Waters and Kelly in the opening laps but then drifted backwards with some sort of problem.

Waters took the win by 1.7 seconds over Kelly, who just managed to hold off Jason O'Halloran in the closing stages.
