Mick Alton and Wendy Grice were the early leaders in this sidecar race but Steve Hutchinson and Darren Dewhurst put in some fast laps to try and close them down.  Neville Lush and Martin Scott were the fastest pairing but a poor start had left them to battle through the field and were up to 4th place by half race distance.

As they got the last lap board Alton/Grice were still holding off the Hutchinson/Dewhurst outfit who were coming under serious attack from the Lush/Scott pairing.

Neville Lush and Martin Scott put in a flyer of a last lap to take the win from Hutchinson/Dewhurst while something happened on the last lap which left Alton and Grice stranded on the side of the circuit, a great pity as they led every lap of the race but in the end failed to finish.
