| Cudlin led the first Superstock race today before being taken by McKenzie on the last lap and the Taree youngster will be determined to try to prevent that happening
again. Alex Tomassetti again got the holeshot with Cudlin and McKenzie behind but not for long as Cudlin made a pass at the end of the back straight to take the lead. It took McKenzie another lap to move past Tomassetti which allowed Cudlin to eke out a 1.2 second lead by the time they crossed the line to start lap 3. But McKenzie put in a flyer on lap 3 to narrow that gap down to only half a second.Cudlin responded though and pulled out a ripper 1-minute 17.5-second time on lap 6 to stretch the gap out to 7-tenths with only a couple of laps remaining. He then backed that up with a 1-minute 17.2 the next time around while McKenzie also upped his pace to a 17.5 so the gap only lengthened to just under a second with two laps remaining and maintained that gap as they got the last lap board. No last lap pass this time around and Cudlin holds on to take the win by 1.1 seconds over McKenzie. A titanic battle for 3rd had been unfolding 12 seconds behind the leaders with Matthew Whalen getting the better of Paul Martinello and Alex Tomassetti to take the final spot on the podium.
