2003 Shell Advance Australian Superbike Championship Round 4 - Queensland Raceway - Race 3 - 125 GP August 10th, 2003 |

| Josh Waters and Mick Kelly continued their 125 battle in this last leg for the 125 GP riders this weekend but it was Matthew Kuhne who led them through the first turns
before Waters and Kelly forced their way to the front. Craig Frederickson, Peter Galvin and Matt Kuhne were battling hard for third spot with Frederickson actually forced on to the grass momentarily on the exit of one of the turns but he regained the track without incident and didn't lose too much ground in the incident. The next lap around young Jason O'Halloran joined the battle for third spot and shot to the front of that bunch at the end of the back straight on lap 3. Waters gradually stretched his lead over Kelly as the laps progressed while Jason O'Halloran made third place his by leaving Kuhne, Frederickson and Galvin in his dust. Galvin then started dropping down the field as he had done earlier this morning. Frederickson also lost a number of places in the closing laps. Jason O'Halloran then chased down Mick Kelly for second place on lap 6 after setting the fastest lap of the race. As they got the last lap board Waters still led by two second over O'Halloran who in turn had pulled a second on Mick Kelly. Waters took the win, O'Halloran 2nd. Kuhne must have had a moment somewhere in the closing laps as he drifted back to finish in 11th spot after running up front early on. |
