KTM Sportmotorcycle AG will join GP 125cc class street racing in the upcoming season.

The official introduction of the team takes place in Valencia this weekend.

The KTM Red Bull GP 125cc Team will be managed by Harald Bartol, a successful and trusted name in GP racing.  His area of accountability covers not only the technical headship but the strategic and conceptual preparation of the planned access to the Moto GP class in 2005.

Roberto Locatelli (World Champion 2000, 125cc class) roars back from the 250cc class and will form a two-man team with a yet to be named second rider.  The team will be dubbed 'KTM Red Bull Team'.

The reinforced engagement of KTM in street racing is to be associated with the intended enlargement (extension) of the product range in the street segment.
