MCNEWS.COM.AU - The ultimate in motorcycle news

Extract from our live transcript - It is time coded - Start from the bottom and read up

  • 1726 - Last lap now and Jamie has pulled away again from his pursuers, Allerton still holding out Greedy, just....  still Allerton at MG but Greedy has better entry line for good speed through turn 11 and 12, Greedy in behind Allerton between 11 and 12, in the slipstream but can't do it, Allerton gets second and Greedy has to settle for third.  Clarke gets fourth, O'Halloran fifth while Jordan Coote won a strong battle for sixth from his brother Deon and Jeremy Crowe
  • 1723 - Allerton and Greedy starting to close a little on Jamie now, two laps to run and they have the gap back down to 1 second
  • 1722 - Greedy not giving up on that chance for second place though and trying to stick with Allerton.   Clarke in fourth and being chased down by Jason O'Halloran as the race progresses
  • 1721 - Allerton gets the better of greedy with four and a half laps to run.  Jamie Stauffer pulling away further though, his lead now 1.4 seconds with now four laps to go
  • 1719 - Jamie Stauffer put in another good lap to make his lead a full second over Greedy who was starting to come under increasing threat from Allerton, Clarke within striking distance also
  • 1717 - One of the Coote brothers arrived at turn four too hot and went screeching off the circuit in a hail of a tyre smoke and somehow managed to not take three riders with him even though he brushed the back of Clarke's machine and nearly put him down.  Glenn Allerton had moved up to third place while Jamie Stauffer had taken the lead from Greedy after putting in the fastest lap. The times not very fast though for some reason
  • 1716 - Clarke hit the lead around the latter parts of that first lap but it was Greedy who took the lead again at turn 1 while Jamie Stauffer pushed Clarke back to third
  • 1715 - Aussie Supersports are away now for their second race of the weekend.  Adam Fergusson didn't take to the grid but a Honda still led into turn one anyway in the hands of Judd Greedy while Jamie Stauffer and Brendan Clarke gave chase
  • 1712 - Supersports on their warm up lap now
