Shell Advance Australian Superbike Championship 2004 - Round 2

Bryan Staring and Mick Kelly had a scintillating battle for the lead during this whole race but it was ex 250 Production champion Mick Kelly who got the nod by 0.02 of a second over the young WA lad.

Peter Galvin and Matt Kuhne couldn't compete with Kelly and Staring in the early laps but the the pair put in some excellent laps later in the race which closed them right up to the back of the leaders and Galvin crossed the line in third only a few bike lengths behind the leaders and only metres ahead of fourth place Kuhne. Good clean race with not too many incidents, just how we like it.
