  • 1811 - That is us done for now.  See ya next time
  • 1806 - Latest word on Kirk is that he has been transferred to intensive care in preparation for surgery. His condition is still critical and his father is flying to Brisbane tonight. Our thoughts are with them
  • 1805 - Adam Fergusson has wrapped up both championships but couldn't hang around to celebrate as his son Alex broke his arm and had to be taken to hospital to get it plated.  Young Alex is 4 or 5 years old.  All up that is three Australian Championships for Honda today, Superbike, Supersport and Pro Lite Motocross
  • 1719 - Kirk McCarthy remains in critical condition.  We believe he is currently on life support
  • 1715 - I believe Krusty has done the double. He has clearly wrapped up the Supersport Championship and has a 76 point lead in Superbike.  Given that there is only 76 points remaining, and that he has more wins than Shannon, and will still have more wins even if Shannon wins the final three races, I believe that also means that Krusty is the 2004 Australian Superbike Champion.  Winning both the Superbike and Supersport Championships in the one year has never been done before
  • 1705 - Full Results from final C & D Race - C & D Points
  • 1647 - Full Results from Superbike Race Three  - Superbike Points
  • 1638 - Full Results from Superstock Race Three - Superstock Points
  • 1634 - Dan Stauffer wins the round from Shannon Johnson and Shawn Giles.  Adam Fergusson now has 326 points to Shannon Johnson's 250 points. Making it a 76 point lead with 76 points remaining to be won at the final round! Giles is on 242 points, Dan Stauffer 215, Jamie Stauffer 175
  • 1631 - Shannon Johnson under Stauffer in to the final turn and takes the win, Dan Stauffer 2nd, Jamie Stauffer third, Shawn Giles fourth, Robert Bugden fifth as Henderson went down on the last lap.  Henderson rejoined the track and made it home but I believe he will be out of the points
  • 1629 - Order still the same but the top three really nose to tail and it is still anyone's.  They get the last lap board with 4-tenths covering the leading three and Giles only a further couple of tenths behind them. Nick Henderson in fifth, ahead of Bugden, Cudlin and Fergusson
  • 1625 - Race order remains the same but it has closed up with the first four covered by less than a second
  • 1622 - Cudlin has passed Fergusson for fifth place, Jamie Stauffer the fastest man on the circuit in third place. Hold that Gilesy just went faster with a 70.9, race order still Dan, Shannon, Jamie, Shawn, Damian, Adam
  • 1620 - News from Wonthaggi - Pro Lites Moto 2 - 1.C Taylor 2.C Cooper 3.T Dorron - Cody Cooper officially Australian Pro Lite Champion
  • 1619 - Superbikes away now, Dan Stauffer leads the way through the first turns in this shortened race, down to ten laps from the original 12 due to time delays.  Dan from Shannon, Jamie Stauffer in third, Shawn Giles fourth and Adam Fergusson in fifth
  • 1616 - Superbikes up next, on the grid now getting ready for the warm up lap
  • 1614 - Full Results from Pro Twins Race Three - Pro Twins Points Standings
  • 1611 - Jones take the win from Roberts, Ingram third, Edwards fourth
  • 1610 - Final Superstock race on, last lap now, Jones and Roberts the chief protagonists at the front, next best is Shane Ingram some four seconds behind
  • 1604 - Full Results from Supersport Race Three - Supersport Points Standings
  • 1600 - Twins race wrapped up, John Allen retired with one lap remaining.  Archibald took the win from McMartin
  • 1552 - Final Twins race on now, John Allen received a ten second penalty for jumping the start.  On the track it was Archibald, McMartin, Allen with three laps to run
  • 1542 - Holland takes the overall round win from Allerton.  Second place overall is incredibly close, only one point covers Holland, Allerton and Baird but Krusty has already wrapped up the championship
  • 1539 - Results in from Pro Open Moto 1 at Wonthaggi - 1.D King 2.C Boyd 3.S King. Darryll King has now officially wrapped up the Pro Open Championship
  • 1536 - Waters gets good drive off turn two, down the back straight they go, decided not to challenge under brakes, sits behind round turn three, ranges up on the inside in to the left hander but Allerton holds him out, down to the final corner and Waters goes down and in to the dirt, Allerton takes the win, Holland second, Baird third, Clarke fourth, Fergusson fifth then it was Deon Coote, Mark Aitchison, Chris Seaton
  • 1535 - Still Allerton from Waters and Holland, two laps to run
  • 1533 - Waters through on Holland for second place, three laps still to run.
  • 1532 - The top three still running nose to tail but Robbie Baird is not too far behind them
  • 1531 - Clarke got through on Deon Coote and then also pushed past Krusty take fifth position.
  • 1529 - Holland, Allerton and Waters the top three and only half a second covers the whole trio with six laps to run.  Allerton then gets Holland under brakes at the end of the back straight, Waters right there also
  • 1528 - Deon goes in too deep at the end of the back straight though and loses his position to Baird.  Holland through on Allerton at the end of the second lap. Fergusson pushed Deon Coote back to sixth place, Coote also starting to come under attack from Brendan Clarke
  • 1526 - They are away and Holland jumps out of the blocks well but Allerton gets the run through the first turns to be in the lead as they head down the back straight for the first time.  Josh Waters in third place and Deon Coote in an excellent fourth place
  • 1525 - Supersports are heading out again now for a new warm up lap, the restart will be for nine laps
  • 1522 - Kirk has been taken straight to hospital and is in critical condition.  Josh Forster was treated at the track for a period before heading off to hospital for further treatment, Forster was conscious but has possible fractures
  • 1503 - The medical team is still on the track with Kirk and the situation does look quite serious.  Let's hope it is only because the medical staff are taking every precaution to prevent the possibility of further injury.
  • 1452 - News from the final round of the Aussie MX Championship down in Wonthaggi.  Cody Cooper has taken out a restarted Pro Lites first moto from Cam Taylor and Troy Dorron
  • 1447 - Josh Forster is one of the downed riders, conscious but has taken a good hit.  The other rider down is Kirk McCarthy and he is being attended to by the medical team.  At recent rounds we have had the Racesafe team in their Commodores and they were on the scene in a matter of seconds.  Ambulance on the way around now
  • 1444 - They are all away cleanly and Glenn Allerton leads the field through turn one with Holland and Fergusson in tow. A few riders down in the inside double-left, red flag out
  • 1441 - Supersports up next for their final race of the weekend.  Adam Fergusson already has the Supersport Championship locked away.  Judd Greedy missing from the grid again
  • 1438 - The Ultralites just wrapped up their final race of the weekend with Glenn Cullen taking the race win from Keith Greentree but Greentree takes the clear round win ahead of Guy Munn and Glenn Cullen
  • 1431 - Full Results from Superbike Race Two
  • 1422 - Giles, "Full credit to Team Suzuki, I have knocked myself around a bit and this is my first race win since last year.   The whole team has done a great job and I can't thank them enough.  With all the new motorcycle this year we prove that the Suzuki is still a great bike and can still stick it to them, we will have a new bike next year and we will hopefully go full circle again to be as far ahead of them before as we have been in previous years."
  • 1419 - Giles takes the win, Dan Stauffer second, Krusty third, Hendo fourth, Jamie fifth then it was Charlton, Bugden and Geronomi while Shannon Johnson managed to salvage ninth after rejoining the race. Rounding out the top ten was Elliott
  • 1418 - Nick Henderson running fourth!
  • 1416 - Giles has a full second over Dan Stauffer now while Adam Fergusson was in third.
  • 1415 - Johnson and Cudlin down in the dirt and scrambling to get back on their bikes this means that Giles inherits the race lead.  Cudlin was shaking his fist at Johnson so obviously blaming the Yamaha men for his demise, but no doubt Johnson will do much of the same
  • 1414 - Cudlin uses his Suzuki horsepower to slip past Johnson under brakes in to turn three but he ran a little deep while Shannon held a tight line and got the power down well to take his lead right back.  The leaders starting to avoid lappers now, let's hope a lapper does not affect the outcome of this one.  Three laps to run and Shannon a bee's dick ahead of Damian.  Gilesy up to third and on a charge, Dan Stauffer back to fourth
  • 1412 - Cudlin looking for a way through on Dan Stauffer, it looks as though he is going to have to do something or Shannon could pull an escape act.  Cudlin makes his move and slips past Dan before then closing right on to the tailpipe of Shannon, no chance of an escape act now
  • 1411 - Half a second covers the leading trio now as they pass half race distance. Giles then moved through on Fergusson and the pair actually closed some ground on the leading trio. Fergusson then ran in a little too deep in to the final turn which lost him some ground
  • 1410 - Fergusson still holding off Giles to hold on to fourth position, next best was Jamie Stauffer who was ahead of Nick Henderson and Robert Bugden
  • 1409 - Cudlin showed Johnson a wheel in to the final turn but Shannon held his line and Cudlin did well to hold it together as they leaned the bike on to their knees, still only 3-tenths covering the leading trio.  That challenge from Cudlin forced Shannon's hand and half a lap later he slotted past his teammate to take the lead in order to escape the attention of Cudlin
  • 1408 - Only 3-tenths covering the leading trio while a second behind them Giles started to attack Adam Fergusson
  • 1406 - Still Dan Stauffer and Shannon Johnson leading the way but the fastest man on lap two was Damian Cudlin with a 70.8 and closing a little on the Yamaha men.  Fergusson fourth, Giles fifth then it was Geronomi, Jamie Stauffer and Nick Henderson
  • 1404 - Superbikes away now for their second race but it is Dan Stauffer who leads them through turn one from Shannon Johnson, Adam Fergusson and Damian Cudlin.  Cudlin then got Fergusson under brakes for third place at the end of the back straight for the first time
  • 1355 - Full Results from Supersport Race Two
  • 1355 - Full Results from Twins Race Two
  • 1353 - Jones takes the clear win, Roberts second, Ingram third and Reed fourth
  • 1350 - The leading duo were still going at it hammer and tong but Roberts went dirt tracking after nearly highsiding in the middle of the double left but the ex junior motocross star called on his dirt skills to ride it out and bounce it over the infield before rejoining the track five seconds behind Jones but still in second place
  • 1346 - Heran then ran in to trouble and went out of the race which promoted Aaron Phillips to third place but Jones and Roberts were so far in front they might as well have been on another racetrack
  • 1344 - Superstockers away now for their second race of the weekend and it was Jones and Roberts who led them around the first turns and this pair immediately started to pull a little ground on third placed Peter Heran
  • 1341 - Allerton, "Wanted to prove a point in there, that fall in race one really cost me some ground in the championship so I had nothing to lose.  Special thanks to all the boys for getting the bike ready they put in a big effort to get the bike ready so I could get back out there and reward them with a win."
  • 1340 - Holland, "I had a little work to do and Allerton rode defensive after he got in front and he does that well so I couldn't get past him. Hopefully I can take the win in the next one so I can make up some places in the championship."
  • 1335 - Waters closed on the leading duo half a second on the penultimate lap but it was still Allerton from Holland, Waters right on their tail down the last of the infield straights but not close enough, Holland challenges Allerton under brakes in to the final turn, Allerton holds on and takes the win from Holland, Waters third, Fergusson fourth, McCarthy fifth after a brilliant charge through the field, then it was Baird, Clarke, Jordan Coote, Seaton, Deon Coote, Forster
  • 1333 - Only a second covering the top trio.  Amazingly enough apparently just before this race a car knocked over Waters' bike and its trailer in tow then ran over his bike!  This was just as they were getting called up for the race so he had no choice but to pick it up and head out on it!
  • 1331 - Allerton gets Holland under brakes at the end of the back straight, four laps to run, Waters on a charge and might close on this leading duo if things go his way over the last few laps
  • 1329 - Allerton right on Holland now and looks to have the pace to get the better of the Honda man.  Josh Waters has upped the wick also to get past Baird and then Fergusson to move up to third place after putting in the fastest lap of the race
  • 1326 - Allerton charging now and starting to close on Holland while also pulling a couple of bike lengths on Fergusson who in turn had gained half a second on Baird, Waters now starting to challenge Baird four fourth place
  • 1325 - The battle for second now closing on Holland a little now, his lead of a full second at the end of lap one has been whittled down to 7-tenths after three laps
  • 1323 - Holland's early lead has worked to his advantage as a number of riders slow each other up while battling for second place and having to protect their lines etc.  Holland had a full second over Fergusson by the start of lap two.  Allerton the got passed Fergusson early on the second lap to take second place, Baird right behind that duo and Waters also right there, this really working to Holland's benefit
  • 1321 - They are away now, Holland, Fergusson and Allerton all away well but it is Holland who again leads them through the first turns
  • 1319 - Supersports out on their warm up lap now but Judd Greedy was missing from the front row, not sure what the problem is there
  • 1315 - The very short lunch break is nearly over now as the organisers try to make up the time lost with that oil down earlier today when a privateer superbike dropped it's lunch down the back straight
  • 1303 - But the wily veteran John Allen managed to use his better corner speed on the final lap through the last turns to get the upper hand on Fripp and held it to the line to take second place.  McMartin took the win by 1.5 seconds, Jamie Aitken home fourth
  • 1302 - Fripp's Ducati is fast, Allen can sit on his tail through turn 1 and 2 but as soon as they hit the back straight Fripp just walks away from him.  There must be 20hp or more difference between them
  • 1300 - Archibald has pulled in to retire after drifting further down the field.  McMartin the clear leader, Fripp in second place but still has John Allen on his tailpipe
  • 1258 - Stuart Fripp then closed and overcame Archibald to take second place with five laps to run.  Archibald had drifted back to fifth place while his teammate John Allen has promoted himself to third place
  • 1256 - I suspect that the Aprilia guys have tuned themselves to a standstill during the break between their races.  In the first race McMartin could pull no ground on them down the straights but in this one his Ducati is stomping all over the Aprilias which seem to have lost some power during the break.  Perhaps playing with their fuel injection settings in the break has resulted in them going backwards.  As a result McMartin closed and passed Archibald on the second lap and then started to pull away
  • 1254 - Twins out now for their second race and Archibald survived the turn one and two madness to lead them around and the diminutive Aprilia rider managed to pull a full second over McMartin on the opening lap.
  • 1246 - Greentree takes the win, Eckersley gets second, Glenn Cullen third and Guy Munn fourth
  • 1245 - Greentree pulled a gap on the penultimate lap while Eckersley, Munn and Glenn Cullen battled all the way to the line for second position.
  • 1243 - This quartet continued to battle between themselves with Munn getting to the lead for a while before Greentree took his customary position at the front again, then Munn gets past again, the two actually touched a couple of times while tussling for position
  • 1241 - Damian Eckersley got a great jump off the line to shame the 400cc four-strokes on his 250 Production machine.  A leading group of four then broke away with Greentree, Eckersley, Munn and Glenn Cullen the chief protagonists at the front
  • 1240 - Full Superbike Race One Results
  • 1235 - Dan, "I couldn't even ride the bike on Friday afternoon as I was so crook so to come out here and take the first race is unreal.  We've got a good race tyre and it all held together, two more races to go so we will come out and see if we can do it again."
  • 1233 - Krusty, "Didn't have the straight line speed of the other guys here today, we had good corner speed and we were okay under brakes and I actually got a little bit of arm pump in that one.  I also have the championship to think about."
  • 1229 - Dan takes the win followed home by Shannon, then Fergusson just managed to hold off Jamie Stauffer to keep his third position, Giles fifth, then it was Cudlin, Bugden, Charlton, Henderson, Geronomi, Wicks
  • 1228 - Jamie Stauffer now starting to threaten Krusty for third place
  • 1226 - The gaps from 1st through to 5th are all fairly much the same, a little over half a second between each rider, Dan leading the way from Shannon, Krusty, Jamie and Shawn
  • 1224 - Dan now has more than half a second on Johnson who in turn has responded to Krusty's threat to gain some ground on his pursuer, that gap now 7-tenths. Jamie Stauffer a further second behind in fourth place, followed by Giles then a further six second gap to the privateer battle which Cudlin has now got in front of to be setting in sixth place with three laps to go
  • 1223 - Jamie Stauffer has also responded to Giles' challenge to pull a couple of lengths over the Suzuki man and actually close the gap a little to Fergusson also.  Cudlin is recovering from that shocker of a start to be running seventh with five laps to run
  • 1221 - Dan has responded to Shannon's challenge and managed to pull a couple of bike lengths on his teammate, Fergusson with them and could mount a challenge on Shannon soon
  • 1219 - Fergusson closed a little on the Nikon Yamaha duo on the next lap and in doing so left Jamie Stauffer behind, the Kawasaki man about to come under attack from Shawn Giles.  A great battle between the privateers for sixth place, Charlton in that spot with seven lap to run with Bugden and Henderson right on his tail
  • 1218 - They cut across the stripe again, race order, Dan Stauffer, Shannon Johnson, Adam Fergusson, Jamie Stauffer, Shawn Giles, Nick Henderson, Scott Charlton, Brent George, Robert Bugden and Damian Cudlin rounds out the top ten
  • 1217 - Shannon still right on Dan's tail as they start lap three, Dan suffering a bit here this weekend with fatigue following a bad dose of dehydration at Suzuka, thus as the laps progress Shannon might have the edge over his team-mate, Shannon of course scored pole here this weekend
  • 1216 - As they start lap two it is still Dan from Shannon, Krusty third but a few bike lengths behind, then it is Jamie Stauffer, Shawn Giles and Nick Henderson
  • 1215 - Cudlin got a shocker off the line which just wasted his front row position, Krusty got the clutch right but it was the two Nikon Yamahas that led the way down the back straight for the first time, Dan from Shannon
  • 1212 - Superbikes on their warm up lap now
  • 1210 - Check out a new gallery of images from yesterday
  • 1157 - Full Results from Pro Twins Race 1
  • 1157 - Full Results from Superstock Race 1
  • 1148 - The start has been delayed due to an oil down on the formation lap, Pete Smith I think the culprit
  • 1138 - Superbikes out next!
  • 1136 - Jones takes the win by 8 seconds over Brendan Roberts while Daniel Figueiredo came home third ahead of Peter Heran and Shane Ingram
  • 1133 - Jones now had 2.5 seconds on Roberts, Peter Heran a similar distance further behind in third place
  • 1129 - Jones in front now and has pulled a couple of bike lengths on Roberts. This pair streaking away from the rest of the field
  • 1127 - Superstockers away now, Roberts the early leader from Jones
  • 1120 - Archibald cruised on that last couple of laps as he lost his clutch lever
  • 1117 - Archibald then seemed to give up the chase and allowed McMartin to pull out a generous lead for a safe run to the flag on the final couple of laps. McMartin takes the win as Archibald cruises over the line in second place with his hand on his hip
  • 1114 - McMartin took the lead from Archibald with three laps to run
  • 1112 - McMartin trying hard, so hard in fact that he run off the side of the circuit under power on to the pit straight to create a cloud of dust and stayed on the throttle until he rejoined the tarmac about 50 metres later
  • 1110 - John Allen down at turn one which left Archibald and McMartin to fight it out up front, Archibald still holding the advantage but McMartin makes heaps of ground under brakes at the end of the back straight, I must say that here this weekend down the back straight it doesn't look as thought the Ducati has the horsepower advantage on the Aprilias that it seemed to have earlier in the year. According to the speed radar out and about yesterday the fastest machine in this class yesterday down the back straight was Stuart Fripp on the Perth based Vee-Two tuned Ducati
  • 1108 - Archibald away well and leads them through the first turn and holds it through turn two but McMartin made up about 30 metres under brakes in to turn three. Archibald, McMartin, Allen the race order as they start lap two
  • 1106 - The first Pro Twins race is about to get away
  • 1105 - Full Results from Ultralites Race 2
  • 1058 - Keith Greentree gets the win by half a bike length over Guy Munn with Glenn Cullen half a second behind them.  Fourth place went to Damian Eckersley a further five seconds behind the podium finishers
  • 1054 - Munn leading from Greentree and Glenn Cullen in this Ultralites race, this leading trio only covered by half a second
  • 1052 - Full Results from Nakedbike Race 2
  • 1050 - Ultralites away now
  • 1042 - Archibald takes the win, Allen second, then it was Rattenbury, Cartwright, Shaw, M Jones, E Jones, McLachlan, Knox, Davies, Bugden, Johnston, Mills
  • 1040 - Zac Davies performing extremely well again on the little FZ-6 with stacks more speed into and through corners than McLachlan and Knox who keep holding him up in the corners before then blowing them away down the straights. What the hell is Davies doing in this class?  He is on a 600 in the Nakedbike race contesting the 'NK Lites' class which has all of two riders for the smaller machines.  Davies has talent and should be riding a better class than this
  • 1037 - Archibald has pulled away now to clear lead while Allen had overcome Cartwright before then closing and passing Rattenbury to move up to second place
  • 1034 - Nakeds are away, Archibald gets the best leave but Rattenbury blasted past before turn 1 and through turn 2 but Archibald gets inside Rattenbury under brakes for turn three and held Rattenbury out a little but he remained on the tail of Archibald, Cartwright third, Allen fourth
  • 1032 - Nakedbikes out next
  • 1030 - Full Results from Supersport Race 1
  • 1020 - That is Holland's first ever Supersport win, amazing really with how many times the young Sydneysider has been on the podium and run up the front over the past few years. No doubt he is hoping for many more.  Clarke had to come from the third row which made it a battle for him to get through to second place but if he can get away well in the second race he might make things a little harder for Holland in the second encounter
  • 1018 - Holland takes the win from Clarke, Waters third, Fergusson fourth then it was Baird, Aitchison, McCarthy, Forster, O'Halloran, Seaton, J Coote
  • 1016 - With a couple of laps to run Holland had the race in his hand with over four seconds on Clarke, both are still running a hot pace but there is no way he is going to catch Holland.  Greedy must have machine problems as he has lost a heap of places
  • 1015 - Clarke pulls the same move on the next lap this time on Greedy and Judd then got a bad run out of that turn which lost him another place when Josh Waters stole his third place.  Another rider down at the double left-hander
  • 1014 - Clarke under brakes on the inside at the end of the back straight gets the better of Waters and then closed on to the tail of Greedy.  Clarke's R6 has some real speed in a straight line no doubt helped by the Queenslander's diminutive size
  • 1012 - Allerton then crashed out on the inside double left-hander which gave Waters third place while Brendan Clarke had got the better of Adam Fergusson for fourth place.  Nobody going to touch Holland here though, but it must be said that Clarke is picking up the pace and with a few laps still remaining he is in with a chance of possibly grabbing a second before this show is over
  • 1010 - Holland running 73.1 second laps to hold the advantage while Greedy had managed to escape from Allerton a little way behind and coming under attack from Josh Waters.  Fergusson was in fifth but coming under heavy attack from Brendan Clarke
  • 1008 - Holland out in front with an extremely healthy 1.7 second lead over Greedy and Allerton as the pair battled over second place.  Meanwhile Josh Waters was starting to attack Adam Fergusson for fourth place
  • 1007 - Holland was capitalising on his clean air out in front to build and maintain a reasonable lead while Allerton had got the better of Greedy for second place
  • 1005 - Judd Greedy and Russell Holland get the best run through turn one in this opening Supersport race of the weekend but Holland got the better of Greedy as they got on the gas after the apex of turn two. Deon Coote went down at the inside double left hander. Allerton was also running well in third ahead of Adam Fergusson who was not looking too comfortable as yet, the Honda man already with two crashes under his belt this weekend
  • 1004 - Results from Superbike and Supersport warm up
  • 1002 - Supersports off on their warm up lap, when they come around next time they will grid up ready for a start
  • 1000 - Supersports heading out now for their formation lap
  • 0930 - Check out British Superbike Qualifying, Coxhell has qualified 16th in Superbike and young Billy McConnell is 23rd in British Supersport Qualifying, click here for the results and some quotes
  • 0914 - Okay we are up and running here at Queensland Raceway with the second warm up underway.  Beautiful day here today, sky is a lovely blue with not a could in sight, wind is not too bad this morning but likely to whip up in to a frenzy as the day progresses if the forecast is anything to go by
