Jay Marmont was the first man to try his hand at the Superpole lap and recorded a 41.9 second lap just as the light started to fade at Olympic Park.  Next out was Dorron who has looked particularly strong here tonight.  Dorron's lap looked good but he could not get close to Marmont after putting down a 42.8 second time.  Danny Ham was the next rider to take centre stage and he got close to Marmont with a 42.1.  Final rider to earn a spot in the Superpole was Robbie Marshall, it would be fair to say that nobody would have expected the Serco Yamaha man to knock Marmont off the top spot but he did exactly that by three-hundredths of a second when he recorded a 41.92 to Marmont's earlier 41.95.  Well done Robbie Marshall and Serco Yamaha.

In the Pro Lites LCQ it was Adam Robinson in the lead early from Bronte Holland and Ben Rochford.  Holland came up short on one of the jumps on lap three which allowed Robinson through but then Robinson lost the plot on the up-ramp of the bridge and fell off his Kawasaki and relegating himself to seventh place in the process.  There to take advantage was Holland but Jay Johnson then came in to the picture strongly and went on to take the win. And the top three earn a place in the Pro Lite main which was Johnson, Holland and Reynolds.

Pro Lite LCQ - 1. Johnson - 2. Holland - 3. Reynolds - 4. S Thompson - 5. B Thompson - 6. Parson - 7. Robinson

Again the top three finishers would earn a spot in the main event when the riders left the line for the Pro Open LCQ.  Brenton Ivers got away well from Michael Klasen.  Mick Cook quickly came in to the picture and moved through to third place , then both he and Klasen moved forward and pushed Ivers back to third place.  As they got the last lap board the top three looked safe with Cook leading the way from Klasen and Ellis.  And that is they it remained as they got the chequered flag.

Prop Open LCQ - 1. Cook - 2. Klasen - 3. Ellis - 4. Howley - 5. Ivers - 6. Scanlan - 7. Caslick - 8.Williamson

Then it was on to the main events...
